Does anyone know of a way to have dhcp provide addresses to authenticated
domain users? On a win2000 active directory server runnign dhcp...

Thanks

Or are you asking how to *only* assign TCP/IP info. to authenticated users?
This cannot be done. DHCP works at a lower level - before Windows has fully
loaded. I believe Win2003 has some kind of a quarantine feature (that I've
not looked at yet) , but this feature is not available in Win2000.

Hi PT,

I believe a 3rd party tool such as QIP or MetaIP will do the trick.
