The DHCP service doesn't need to be on the same server as RIS.

AFAIK, you will not be able to administer your Netware 5.1 DHCP server from
the Microsoft DHCP MMC.

: Hi, is there anyway to get a Netware 5.1 DHCP server to contact AD on
Windows 2003 member server? We have a p2p network consisting of a Netware
backend with W2K clients, as well as a smaller seperate domain with a W2k
server with AD installed with some W2k clients. Now im trying to setup a RIS
server (basically just playing around

) , i made it a member of the AD
domain but need a W2K DHCP server to authenticate and redirect PXE requests.
Is there anyway around this? When i try to add a DHCP server via the snap-in
it tells me that the DHCP server cant contact Active Directory.
