DHCP and WINS

I have an XP machine that should get all of its IP
settings from DHCP. However, it has a hardcoded WINS
address which will not go away. I've deleted. Searched
the registry for it. But once the machine is reboot, the
hardcoded address for WINS returns. I had the same for
the DNS address, but a search through the registry found
it and I corrected it.

Any clues???

Just a thought, have you disabled the current network connection and created a
new connection?
