DHCP and RRAS

I have a RRAS server setup for dial-up only that gets its
IP addresses from a DHCP server on my lan. My DHCP server
constantly has all leases used by the RRAS server
although no one is connected. I have to manually release
addresses for people to be able to dial in. I've
uninstalled and reinstalled DHCP, lowered the time the
lease is valid for, etc. with no luck.

Can anyone offer me additional tips to try?

Thanks.

In rras set the number of ports to be only what you need - no more than
maximum number of connections allowed or expected at any one time or
configure a static address pool instead making sure that the address pool
does not overlap the dhcp scope. -- Steve

Ok, I tried to lower the number of connections in the
port properties. Each modem shown has only one
connection. The PPTP and L2TP both show 5. But when I try
to change those to one each, it get a error message.

The port information cannot be saved.
Cannot complete this function.

Is it possible to disable PPTP and L2TP if I not using
them?

Any ideas?

Hmm. I have never experienced that error so I can't be of much help. Look in
Event Viewer to see if anything helpful shows there. I have never had a
problem reducing those ports. Usually when I set up rras, I get five ports
each which only takes 10 IP addresses from dhcp. --- Steve
