dhcp "access denied"

J

jbogren

here what happened.
Had a dhcp server running stand alone with no AD.

Added the server to a domain.

Went to "Authorize" the DHCP in AD and received a "Access
denied" pop up.

I am Enterprise, Domain, and local admins. I was logged in
as my domain object and not local but changing that made
no difference.

KB has nothing on this that I could find.
Any clue's anyone.

your DHCP server is not stand alone its member server with the DHCP service
running. you should move your DHCP server into the specific OU like member
servers ou and then check any GPO on that ou.
By the Way i have seen this scnerio first time in my career
