DFS: Server locking up

I have created the followin
on DC
dfs root at \\domain\cor
I have created links
\departmen
\user
When I go to the users profile and add "\\domain\corp\users\%username" to their profile for a home folder, the server hits 100% utilization and doesn't let go. Or, when I go to the DFS management console and open the link, the system locks.
Any help or suggestions would be greatly appreicated

Do you add %username% to the profile, or the real username. %username
doesn't work but you probably made a typing error :)
