DFS and Exchange 5.5/2000

Can DFS be used to hold the info stores? What are the
prerequisites? What are the cons to this configuration?

Any info or references would be much appreciated.
 
As far as I am aware the Exchange database and log files must always be on
local disks - performance would suck if you put them on network drives (I
doubt you can but I could be wrong).
