Hi, I mistakenly installed an unknown hardware device driver, and now I get
fatal errors and reboots.
How do I remove this unwanted hardware device driver.
Please help.

Right click "My Computer" > Properties > Hardware > Device Manager > expand
the listing for the specific hardware that is giving you problem > right
click and press uninstall.

load into safe mode to do so just before the point that windows xp starts
loading from your hard drive press f8 a few times then you wil lbe given
options choose "safe mode option" when you enter safe mode go into control
panel then go into system and click the hardware tab and click on device
manager .

in device manager find the device that had the incorrect driver installed
then choose uninstall. then reinstall the correct driver and restart your pc
as nmormal.
