Device Detector Problem

Since yesterday I have received a problem message;
Device Detector has encountered a problem and needs to close. We are sorry
for the inconvenience.
Error signature.
App Name devdetect.exe. AppVer 2.0.1.6. Mod Name mfc70.dll.
Mod Ver. 7.0.9466.0 Offset 0000f442.

What is causing this problem, and to correct it?
