device cdrom has bad block

I find this error present intermittently in my laptop's event log :



The device, \Device\CdRom0, has a bad block.
 
Hi,

The cable attaching the optical drive, the drive itself, or the motherboard
may be faulty. Or the cable is loose. First step, where possible, is
reseating the cable.
