Hi,

I am using an Intel 845gbv mainboard with VGA integrated.
I downloaded all the uptodate drivers for everything, including the
BIOS, and everything was working fine, until today when I defragmented
mydrive with Diskeeper.

When I rebooted, XP lost the VGA driver, and I can not reinstall it. I
tried
- removing the old one before reinstall
- removing the old one and reboot for an automatic detection.

But with no success.
I still get the message "device cannot start (code 10)".

Anything I can do ?

Hi,

Code 10 with Device Manager?

To resolve this error code, make sure the device is connected to the
computer correctly. For example, make sure all cables are plugged in fully
and that all adapter cards are properly seated.

Error 10 with Diskeeper?

From Control Panel, double-click Add/Remove Programs and remove Diskeeper.
Then make sure the Execsoft folder and all of its sub-folders are deleted.

Make sure the Temp directory located under your root directory has nothing
in it.

Check the permissions in REGEDT32 and on the root directory of each NTFS
partition; Administrator and System must have Full Control. See the
Technical Article Permissions for instructions on handling this.

The account from which you install and run Diskeeper must be a member of the
Administrators group, but not a member of any other local groups such as
Power Users, Backup Operators, and so on. It does not matter if the account
is a member of any Domain groups such as Domain Admins and Domain Users. If
you make a change to the group membership of your account, log out and back
in before installing Diskeeper.

Check if you have a bad CD drive (if so, it is usually because it's dirty).

Re-install Diskeeper.

Other than that, depending on your version, try DK support.

Good luck!
