Device adapter and projector problems

Hi all,

Can anybody give me a reason why and/or a fix. In order for my laptop and
projector to show at the same time, I need to uninstall my device adapter
and reboot windows.
If I restart windows with out first uninstalling the display adapter, I
cannot see my power point presentation on both screens.
I have the latest drivers and bios settings.
