Developing Applications

HI, I have been developing Access applications for my company for the last 3
years, I would not say I am an expert in access but I feel pretty
confortable with it as well as Visual Basic. Do you guys think it would be
fair for me to start a side job business to develop access applications? If
yes, how would I go about it? What about if the customer does not have
Access install on his machine, do I have to buy access for him? How much
should I charge the customer? How long should it takes to develop an
application?

Thanks.

Fair? Sure... Feasible? Depends on your skill level.
If yes, how would I go about it?
Advertise your services in your town. How you advertise is up to you and
your checkbook

What about if the customer does not have Access install on his machine, do I
have to buy access for him?
Either buy him a copy or develop using the Office Developer's edition to
create installable packages that contain the run-time version of Access.

How much should I charge the customer?
Depends on the application and your skilllevel. I charge an hourly rate,
with a cap on the number of hours.

How long should it takes to develop an application?
Depends on the complexity of the application and your skill level. How long
woul it take you to build me a house, without you knowing how big of a house
I want?

No problem. :)
