Determine Vista SP1 included?

P

Peter Schirmer

Hi all,

today I've downloaded Vista including SP1 via MSDN. Now I want to know
how to ensure that SP1 is included. Are there any directorys or files
that are new?

XP's "Readme.htm" shows that SP2 was included. Now I'm looking for a
similar file or directory.

Does anyone know something?

Thanks!

Peter

Right click on "Computer." Left click on "Properties." You will see the
version in the window. If you don't see "Service Pack 1" a few lines under
"Windows Edition," SP 1 is not installed.

It's right there in system properties. Right click on My Computer and
select Properties. It's up the top under Windows Edition.

If you are interested in downloading another gig of data, you can get the
dev kit for vista, which includes the utility to look at the image. The
version number of the files tells you plainly if it includes SP1. (build
6001, Service Pack 1)
If you mean you have already installed it, click Start and type: winver

It's much more easier: take a look at EULA. :)

SP1 is mentioned there. I don't know if SP1 is mentioned if SP1 was
slipstreamed with vLite.

After a couple of hours searching and viewing many screenshots I've got
it. Yes, SP1 is mentioned if the DVD was delivered by MS and there is no
(!) SP1 mentioned if the media was created by vLite.

Thanks for your help!
