"Detect and Repair" in Outlook 2000 - How to access it?

I have MS Office 2000 installed in XP Pro . I recently moved AVG from
its original installatiion in the C: drive using an app called
AppMove to its new path of G:\Programs\Zone Alarm.

Now , when I start Outlook 2000 it gives a message saying it cannot
find the AVG file "avgxch32.dll"

This , I suspect , is because this file now exists in the path in the
G; drive indicated above.

The error message in Outlook suggests using "Detect and Repair" to
sort this out.

How do I access "Detect and Repair" in Outlook 2000 , please ?

I presume , although I do not use Outlook for e-mail , the reason it
requires AVG is to monitior e-mails in Outlook.

Apart from the error message , Outlook 2000 operates normally as I use
it solely for Contacts.

Try removing the Email scanning feature for AVG, since it's not needed any
way (but why you'd put it in a Zone Alarm folder is beyond me), and deleting
the file
%UserProfile%\Local Settings\Application Data\Microsoft\Outlook\extend.dat

Thank you for the prompt reply and I'll attempt to follow your advice.
( incidentally, I think it is already switched of !-)

I realise remarks re: AVG are not appropriate in this NG but , to
answer your remark on having the AVG Email scanner in the Zone Alarm
folder , its there because it came that way when I installed that
version of AVG, as far as I remember and , until I moved the AVG
applicationr , I had no problems with error messages when launching
Outlook .

Moving an App, even with an App supposedly designed for such, often causes
problems.
Your better off uninstalling/reinstalling

That's good advice of course and I'm not complaining or even overly
surprised although , to be fair to the the app in question, it has ,
for me , operated overwhelmingly without any problems and , after all
, this problem I'm discussing here is not exactly a disaster - Outlook
still works !

I'm sure that re-installing Outlook would probably remove the error
message .

I was merely wondering what "Detect and Repair" was and whether it
could be found in Outlook 2000 and , if so , how do I access it ?

If it's not on the Help menu of any Office application, then you can perform
a repair installation using the Office entry in Add or Remove Programs.
