I created a form in FrontPage. It was working fine. Now, when you hit the
SUBMIT button, it asks for a username and password before it will submit the
form data. Also, an error message follows saying 'not authorized to view
page'. WHAT IS GOING ON???

Usually this means there is a permissions issue on the server, often when an
over-zealous admin removes the ability for anonymous internet users to write
to files or databsases. If this is hosted on a Windows server, you'll need
to check for the IUSR account having write access for the file that the
results are being saved to. This is definitely an issue created by the web
server itself though and not something you have done in all likelihood.

Another thing to ensure is that the file you're writing to is in the
_private directory. FP tries to ensure the _private directory has
permissions to be written to in order for users to save results.

Hope this helps,

Check with your web host to make sure that they still allow the use of the FP Upload component and
that folder you have specified for the upload has the correct permissions.

THANK YOU! THANK YOU! THANK YOU! That was it, the upload file field -
server didn't like it so I took it off. I'll investigate this later, but I
thank you and my client thank you. This form had to be ready for a big expo
show tomorrow and the form functionality is critical to the client's
marketing success. God bless you for being there for me!!!

Where are the results of the form going to?

I'm guessing that whatever the result of the form is a password protect page
is being accessed and forcing this message. You would have to give us more
information about the form and exactly what it is doing.
