K Ken Simmons [MSFT] Dec 5, 2003 #2 Hi Dieter, Choose Start, select Run, type regedit and click OK. Navigate to the registry key: HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Control Panel\Desktop Highlight it and go to the right pane. Find the item "PaintDesktopVersion" and change the value of the item from 1 to 0.
