How do you get rid of the build information in the lower
right hand corner of the desktop in Windows XP Home
Edition?
 
Hi Dieter,

Choose Start, select Run, type regedit and click OK. Navigate to the
registry key:

HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Control Panel\Desktop

Highlight it and go to the right pane. Find the item "PaintDesktopVersion"
and
change the value of the item from 1 to 0.
