Ok, I'm running Windows Professional XP and a nVidia 6200 graphics card.
I load up, everything is fine, until it starts to load the desktop - the
desktop doesn't show up! Instead its just a black screen. (Tried System
restore, check cable and graphics card).
Any help?
Thanks
Oh, and I can load Safe Mode fine.
I've checked for spy ware and virus' using AVG Free and Spybot - nothing
came up.
I haven't recently downloaded anything either.
Thanks In Advanced,
Josh

When it boots to the black desktop what happens if you do
Ctrl+Alt+Delete? Does the Task Manager option come up? Can you start
Task Manager?

I'm not sure if you have tried this or not, but I would boot to safe mode
and change the monitor resolution to something low like 800x600. If that
doesn't work odds are your driver is not working right, or just needs to be
updated or rolled back (if it has been changed recenlty)
