Desktop Themes

Weirsy

i downloaded a bunch of desktop themes from
http://www.themexp.org/ and i tried installing them, the
only thing is they didn't completly install. The
backgrounds showed up, but the taskbar changed from
Windows XP style to Classic Windows, it didn't show the
sweet colours that the screenshot had. i tried manually
doin this but i couldn't even come close. is this a
problem with my computer or the download. I followed
these exact steps:

1. Download the visual styles .zip to your computer.
2. Extract the .zip file to your %windir%
\resources\themes\ (probably
c:\windows\resources\themes\).
3. Do Start > Settings > Control Panel to open the
control panel
4. Double-click the Display icon and go to the Appearance
tab.
5. Select the theme from the "Windows and Buttons" list
and hit the Apply button.

but it doesn't seem to work correctly.

If you want more information just ask, im not sure what
u'd need to know

Hi Weirsy,

In order to use Stylexp themes ( those from themexp are stylexp) you need to
do the following.

Try this:

Go here and install the Patch. Than download some themes. That will change
the start button and a lot more.

http://www.lightstar1.com/install.htm

Than go here for even more themes.

http://www.themexp.org/

If you need help than the StyleXP program will work for you.
