DESKTOP SIDEBAR

to all......i have a desktop sidebar and it stuffes my
quicklaunch and my net connected idnercator how can i
remove the sidebar to fix these things!!!!!

What sidebar do you have? XP doesn't have one by default.

You need to be more specific about *what* "desktop sidebar" you
have. If, for example, you mean the one at
http://www.desktopsidebar.com/index.html, to stop it from
running, right-click on a blank part of it and choose Options. On
the General tab, uncheck "Run this program when Windows starts."

Did you mean the Common Tasks folder in the desktop?
If so, type "regsvr32 /i shell32" in the RUN box

If it is the one I think; go to www.dougknox.com, take XP Fixes and the
fourth down in the right column is 'remove Common tasks from Desktop'
