Is it possible to create a desktop shortcut to open windows explorer that
defaults to display a particular folder. It currently default to "My
Documents" and I want to leave that one and create another shortcut.

Thanks
Craig

Hi

Which folder do you want WE to open to?

You can create a shortcut where the location looks like this:

explorer.exe /e,C:\Program Files
explorer.exe /c,D:\

the /e makes explorer open with the folder pane visible, and the /c
without.

Hi Craig,

I think a simpler solution might be to just navigate to the folder in
question, rightclick it and select "Send To" then "Desktop (create
shortcut)".

Hopefully this is what you're trying to do.

Cheers

Andy
