desktop shortcut toolbar

I have the desktop shortcut toolbar enabled so i can get quick access to the
shortcuts on my desktop without minimizing programs that are open. My
problem is that i'm not able to open shortcuts to a mapped drive. The
shortcut on the desktop itself works but not the shortcut in the desktop
shortcut toolbar.....

This happens on two XP Pro machines, is it a bug? anyone with the same
problem?

Well I have just given it a go and it works perfectly well on my machine

That's not much help to you, so have you tried changing the shortcut on the desktop to a full UNC path \\server\etc\etc ??

The shortcut is already the full UNC path \\server\folder

Is your shortcut connecting to a folder within the mapped drive (which works
here) or the mapped drive itself (which doesn't here!)?

Sorry, I don't know I can be of much further help then

My test was to launch a program from the root of a mapped drive i.e. J:\program.exe
