I had the standard blue background (None) selected on my
desktop settings and now that isn't an option. My
background is white and now web pages that I go to all
have a white background and some of the logos are not
coming through.

This trouble began after install Abode Acrobat (the full
version).

Any suggestions to re-establish the blue background on my
desktop? I have tried every option under Display in the
COntrol Panel.

Try and uninstall Acrobat and check your desktop again.
First, have you re booted?
If it comes back after you have uninstalled acrobat, you
have found the problem. I would just try and reinstall and
see what happens. I have loaded that on over a hundred
machines and never had it mess with display settings.
