Desktop Screen Resolution

After many months without problems I have today booted up
and found the desktop in 800 x 600 resolution instead of
the normal 1024 x 768. and now every time I change and
save it back to 1024 x 768 when I reboot it comes back
as 800 x 600 . I have just applied the latest drivers
from ATI Radeon but it has'nt made any difference. Any
ideas?

Start/Control Panel/Appearance and Themes/Change the screen resolution/set new resolution and click the "Troubleshoot" button. Make sure after changing the resolution to click Apply first before clicking OK.

I have the same problem with David. I couldn't fix my desired screen resolution setting. Everytime I switch on my PC, sreen resolution turn to 800 X 600 pixels. I already done what you suggested, but the problem is still there. Any other solution or suggestion?
