Desktop problem - help

Until yesterday I had a family picture as the background
for my desktop. This morning the screen is white. I've
checked the control panel (display) and it looks OK, but
it doesn't revert back to the picture. any ideas?
 
Rightclick open area near center of screen/click Properties
Click the Desktop tab/select your picture/wallpaper from the background
list or click the Browse button to whatever picture you want.
Click Apply and OK.
