Desktop Phote

I set a photo as my desktop background, but the solid color overides the
setting. I can change the color, but not get my picture back. Any
suggestions?

Holly,

Perhaps you have an active desktop item set?

1. Open Control Panel, double-click Display.
2. Click the Desktop tab, and choose "Customize Desktop".
3. Select the "Web" tab
4. Delete all the items except "My current Home page"
5. Uncheck "My current Home page"
6. Click OK, and now select your Desktop background
7. Click OK and close the dialog.

Sadly, I don't have a web tab under customize desktop. This started when a
remote adminstrator made some changes on my machine. I've email IT, but this
is, understandably, not high on their list of priorities.

Holly,

The adminstrator may have enabled Active Desktop Policies that might be
causing the problems. Only option is to talk with the concerned person to
straighten this up.
