Everything that is in My Pictures is automatically sent to my desktop
backround for a choice as a wallpaper.I've read some of the threads but no
luck so far.I have a Dell Dimension 8250 that I had this problem when I first
uploaded pictures from my digital camera.I fixed the problem there but don't
remember what I did.Now I have this problem on my laptop.Whatever I did the
first time wasn't as comprhensive as what I am reading to correct the
problem.Any Ideas?

Yes, the default for XP is to list My Pictures as available for desktop
background.
If you don't want this you:
1. Make a new folder and keep your pictures there instead of My Pictures
2. Have more than 100 pictures in My Pictures. I don't know this for sure.
John Inzer has proposed this solution here more than once but I don't
remember getting feedback on this. Anyway, easy enough to try or wait for
him to confirm this as he is usually around answering questions.

All I can tell you is it works on my systems and
no one has reported that it failed to work for them.

It wouldn't be a huge experiment if you wanted
to give it a try.

Thanks. Looking at the hockey game! So will give it a try tomorrow. I don't
have anything in My Pictures.
It would help us to get feedback.
