Desktop Missing

I run W2K Professional-SP4. Just got rid of blaster. The
desktop is missing and the screen is now grey in colour
with my documents showing. I was able to right click and
move back to the desktop icons, but the desktop is still
missing. Icons paint from left to right in a horizontial
fashion, not the traditional vertical presentation. I
logged on an a new user and the desktop appears normal.
any ideas?

Hello Bob,

Try right clicking a blank area of the desktop, go to properties, go to
settings, set the screen area to 640X480 and appy, if you can now see the
entire desktop change the area again to a setting you are more comfortable
with.
