Desktop Manager offered to 'clean up' my desktop by unchecking icons I no
lonnger wanted on my desktop. I unchecked 1 but it removed several!
How can I retrieve previous desktop icons prior to Desktop Manager sticking
its nose in?
How can I disable DM from popping up in the future>
Incidentally I tried System Restore to no avail.

Iceman, you can disable the Desktop Cleanup Wizard by rt clicking
Desktop>select Desktop>Customize Desktop>Uncheck Run Desktop Cleanup every
60 days.
