When I am viewing a web page like Cnn that I know has its
own icon and I click create a desktop shortcut, I get a
generic icon rather than the Cnn icon. This happens on
all sites and it didn't until recently. This is in
Windows xp Home Edition. Thank You

Thanks Frank. I downloaded the Favestogo utility and it
will be useful but what I really want is the desktop icon
created by the web page I am viewing. Any idea why I only
get generic windows icons all of a sudden? Possibly
Service Pak 1 or a pop up blocker from Google the cause?
Can't think of anything else I have changed. Thanks
Jack

You'll have to move the favicon for that site out of TIF and point the
shortcut to it with the Change Icon button on the shortcut's proerties.
