Using Win XP Professional

I have all my desktop icons highlighted as when you click on them to change
or rename the text below them.
Any ideas please?

Right click on the desktop, select the bottom item,

Properties

Desktop > properties

select the Appearance tab

Desktop > properties > appearance

Go down to "Color Scheme" and select "Default".

Select Apply, OK.
