I am trying to apply a custom sized (120 X 88)icon to my
desktop. Have saved it that size with AWIcons Pro, but
when I apply it, it reverts to a square. How can I get
windows desktop to accept a custom sized icon?
Thanks for any help!

You cannot. It is up to the program (in this case, the desktop) to
decide which size icon it wants to display. If there are several icons
inside the ico file, then it will pick the one which most closely
matches the size and colors it wants to display. Otherwise, it will
adjust the closest icon to fit into its wanted size and colors. Of
course, there may be some utility out there which lets you use
different shaped icons (e.g., in the same way that Activicons lets you
use animated icons).
