Need some help. I keep a lot of program icons on my desktop. When I try
to sort them alphabetically they sort in two groups. The first group is
alphabetical and the second group is alphabetical.
As an example, I use F-Prot Anti Virus and it is in the first group. I
also use F-Prot Anti Virus Updater and it is in the second group. Both
were installed at the same time.
Some program icons are in the second group no matter what I do, eg.,
Metastock, UltraISO, SpywareRemover, and numberous others. Others are in
the first alphabetical group. Both groups go from a to z. Assignment
appears random. There seems to be no way to predict whether a program will
wind up in the first group or in the second group. At least not that I
have been able to determine.
Alphabetical arrangement would seem to imply that all icons should appear
in alphabetical order. Not so.
I have tried the other organizational methods by right-clicking on the
destop: size, type and modified (date). Nothing helps.
Anybody got any ideas how they can all be in one alphabetical sort?
