Desktop Icons Gone

The Icons on my Desktop are gone. I think a Virus took
them off. I tried to add them through "Customize
Desktop" (on Properties)but nothing works. When I went
in they were all checked, so I un-checked them, re-booted
and then checked them again, but it didn't work. How do
I get to My Computer and The Recycle Bin? I looked in
Explorer but couldn't find them.
 
Is it specific icons, or all icons? Try right clicking the Desktop, select
Arrange Icons by and make sure that Show Desktop icons is checked.
 
Yes it was all the icons, BUT they came back after I
followed your instructions..thanks!
