DESKTOP ICON PROBLEM

WHEN I DOUBLE CLICK ON A DESKTOP ICON I ONLY GET THE PATH
THE PROGRAM WILL NOT LAUNCH...

Turn of CAPS, please. And, more information required regarding the error you received.

If you are unable to launch shortcuts [.lnk files], download the file asso. fix from Doug's site:
http://www.dougknox.com/xp/file_assoc.htm
Apply .exe fix if you are unable to run any application s[.EXE] files.
