Desktop Dissappeared

Well guys suffering in big problem.on wondows Xp
professional i am suffering in a problem that when i
logon to windows my desktop contents are dissappeared.i
cant open start menu.i cant right click to refrsh.even
cant do any thing.just alt+atrl+del is working to open
new task. Can any one tell me whats this problem is. Mail
me here (e-mail address removed). i would be very thankful
to him/her.

Re-boot into safe mode, then run system file checker
Click to expand...
tool, ( click start, run, and type in; "sfc /scannow" )
and have your XP CD ready to copy system files from if
needed.
