desktop configuration thing

Just a basic question. I copied pictures from my work pc on a cd-rw, then
brought it home to copy to my home pc. One of the files mixed in within the
files seemed to be a notepad with like a cookie/pen on it. I think its a
desktop configuration or something like that. Is it important to keep that
because I deleted it. It did not affect anything so far. But, what does it
do & in the future, should I keep it??

Hi,

Probably just an .ini file that contained information about the folders
appearance in the system it was copied from. It is of no consequence to have
deleted it.
