Desktop Background - Center, tile and stretch not working

J

Jay

When attempting to select a desktop picture and I try to
center it, the picture is not centered, it appears in the
lower right area of the desktop. If I stretch it, it
stretches, but only toward to right side....the left side
still retains the original desktop...I'd appreciate your
help.
Thanks,
Jay

Have you ever tried to adjust your monitor? The adjustment
may be off on it.
It is either a set of dual buttons on the front of monitor
or a thumb wheel that needs to be pressed to activate the
adjustment menu.
This could be caused by the system not accepting the
proper drivers for the moniter or video card.
I would... select a picture that suppost to be centered.
Once on the desk top. Enable the monitor adjustments.
There should be icons that are a screen with arrows
pointing up and down and one with arrows pointing left and
right. Use these to center the picture.
You will probly have to move your left desktop icons to
the lower right to keep them from being moved off screen
when attempting this.
Good Luck!

Thanks for the quick response.....unfortunately, this is
on a notebook and they don't have those buttons.
