it still stay s the black screen.. i selected from the windows desktop
pictures.. and the wall papaer still will not change.. help

Maybe some basic English would help describe the problem a little better,
Just FYI.

Ignore people who insult your English. It can't be easy for a Betazoid from
Terran to speak it perfectly. I know native Canadians and Americans who speak
much worse. I had no trouble understanding you.
In Control Panel click "Personalize Color and Appearance". Click "Window
Color and Appearance". At the bottom click "open classic appearance
properties-"
Here you should find your "black screen" and undo it. Good luck. Say hi to
Data.

Thank you taking the time, I still have a black screen i think i may have to
take the laptop into work and have my IT peolpe trouble shoot for me..When i
select a window picture for the back ground and hit ok.. The backgound will
not change it stays black.

I too am having the same problem as troi i work with a guy that knows
computers up and down and he can't even figure out what the problem is. I
lost the picture after i renewed my mcafee security and the picture
disapeared . Now all i have is the black background also and when i go in to
change the picture and hit ok nothing happens.i emailed mcafee and they said
it was a problem with window vista. Have you or anyone been able to fix the
problem yet?
