Desk Top Icons

I've tried arranging my desk top icons by name and about 10 of them go A to
Z and then they start back at A again. Can I get them to all go A to Z as
one group.

If you look at your "icons" very closely you'll see that some are icons and
others are shortcuts. Icons are listed per your settings by name,
alphabetically
and then it starts over again with shortcuts.

Are the ones coming first folders? It sorts folders A-Z followed by
all the files A-Z

As far as I can see, the shortcut files and the normal files are all
in together.

The first A-Z is for the shortcuts from:
C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Desktop

Second A-Z is for the shortcuts from:
%Userprofile%\Desktop

Aha!! - So that's why I didn't pick it - none in my all-users folder!!

Thanks That explains it. So if I move them out of "All Users" and into my
desk top folder then they will all be in A to Z order?
