Help,

I have Windows XP professional and I updated the latest Office patch
yesterday, now I seem to can't back my icons. Any help will be appreciated.
Thank you.

You might try, installing xp cd,exit the info page,go to run, type:cmd In cmd
type:Sfc /Scannow When its thru,type:CHKDSK C: /F Agree to restart,then
type:EXIT Restart computer,remove xp cd.If that doesnt fix it,create a new
account, open new account,if all is ok,then old user account is corrupted,
delete it.

If its just the desktop icons then you might want to right click on the
desktop then select "Arrange Icons By:" and make sure that "Show Desktop
Icons" is selected.

This behaviour occurs if the Show Desktop Icons feature is turned off.
1. Right-click the desktop.
2. Point to Arrange Icons By and then click Show Desktop Icons.

To add the My Computer, My Network Places, Internet Explorer, and My Documents icons
back to your desktop:

1. Right-click the desktop, and then click Properties.
2. On the Desktop tab, click Customize Desktop.
3. Under Desktop icons, click to select the check boxes of the icons you want to
view.
4. Click OK two times.

Thanks guys,
I don't remember how I turn off the show icons. Again thanks for your help.
