DesignJet 500 encoder strip

We have a HP designJet 500 and I replaced the carriage belt. I can't
figure out how the encoder strip is routed? I have the service book
but it is lacking in detail. If someone could tell me how it goes
through the carriage or take a picture I would be thankful to no end.

I had the encoder strip replaced on my DesignJet 220 by a technician and
it is something I wouldn't have tried myself. Good luck on finding
someone that can help you.
