Designing a database

Hello to all. Let me first of all extend my sincere apologies for such a ;ong
mesage. I am very sorry. I am new at this, just beginning. I have been trying
to create a database. I can do most of it but the only thing and probably the
last I really would like to know and do is to desing a form to have more than
one tabs (I think that's how it is called). A good example is the (customer
service template) in the access template on the microsoft website.

You see when you click on the form that says customer details, a form opens.
On that form it has GENERAL and OPEN cases tabs (still not sure if it called
tab). you can click and open each one of those tabs. In some forms database
I have seen three to fours tabs like that, and you can add whatever you want
in them. I can create a simple form like the general, but I have no idea how
to craete or attach the other tabs,

Somebody please help me if you understand what I am trying to say. For the
last one month I have been trying to do this. I bought a book (Access 2007
Plain and Simple) but can't find anything in it to help me design a database
form like that.

So I am asking anyone and everyone for any ideas, suggestions anything that
can direct me in that way. I could use the already made template like that,
But I really would like to desing one by myself. So Please Help!!!!

Thank you very much!!!!

I expect Access 2007 isn't much different from ealier versions regarding add
a tab control. You should be in the design view of the form and find the
various controls such as text box, label, combo box, and tab control. Click
the tab control and the click on the form where you want the tab control.

Thank you very much for taking the time to respond. I think I am getting
closer. I saw the tab control and I tried it. it worked. I saw two tabs and
when I clicked each one it opened, that's what I am looking for. But now what
do I do to next.? okay I clicked and placed it in the form desing view. But
when I go back and open it in form view, It is just blank. It has just two
numbers on the top of the tab.so what shouldI do? Let say if I wanted to
include information in each one, say one for customer and one for supplier.

I really appreciat your help and I am also sorry for the many questions. Do
you know of any access resources that I can find that will provide such
information?

"little example" of what? You can place controls on a tab control in the same
way that you placed the tab control on your form.

It doesn't sound like you know where you want to go. You seem to just want
to add controls with no clear picture of what you expect from your finished
form. If you are just "playing and learning" then go ahead. If you are
creating an application, you should step away from Access and create some
specifications. Then build your tables, forms, queries, and reports to match
your specs.
