Design Template

I have added a design template to my presentation however now I would like to remove it and not use a template at all. I have tried going to slide master and then clicking on the template that is currently on the slide as instructed to do through the help menu however it is still there. Does anyone know how to go back to a blank template background without losing all of my information?

Hello Cathy,
If you are using Powerpoint 2003, right click on the slide in edit
mode. The choice "Slide Design" should be available. Under the
"Available For Use" pane a "Default Design.pot" template appears. It
will set the slide back to what it was when first opened as a new
presentation. By using the down arrow you have options such as "Apply
to Master", "Apply to Selected Slide", "Apply to all Slides".
If you need help with other versions of Powerpoint, we can look at
that.

All presentations use a template. You can't have a presentation w/o one.

But you probably started with a blank presentation and applied a different
template and need to go back, I'm guessing.

Start a new blank presentation, choose File, Save As and choose PowerPoint
Design (*.POT) as the Save as Type. Give it a name and save it whereever PPT
suggests. Now you can apply your new blank template just as though it were any
other template.

I have tried going to slide
