DESIGN SPLIT CODE bar malfunction

One day suddenly the DESIGN SPLIT CODE PREVIEW bar on the bottom of each of
my web pages stopped showing. Only CODE shows and only in black (no red or
blue). If I start a new blank page, the bar shows. But when I save it, the
same problem occurs. I tried reinstalling FrontPage 2003 to no avail. Thank
you.

Make sure in Tools Options Configure Editors the default for .htm is FP - Open as Html
