Derived Folder Issue

Steve

Sometimes when I publish my web, the animated gif in the header is no longer
animated. This does not happen every time.

I have found that when it happens, many files in the derived folder are
being modified on the host during the publishing process.

The files in my local derived folder are unchanged, so I have found that
after publishing when this issue occurs, I then have to ftp the files in the
derived folder to the host to repair the animated gif files in the header.

Any idea on why this is happening? Any way to prevent this from happening?

Thanks.

Steve

By FTP'ing you're risking breaking the FP extensions; always publish by
HTTP.
You shouldn't need even touch the _derived folder.

I realize that I shouldn't have to touch this folder, but when the animated
gif is broken after publishing, I have no other way to get it to work again.
