Deploying XPSP2 to Precision using BDD2007

Hello.
I'm currently playing with BDD2007 and have been able to deploy a base
install of XP to several of my test machines, where I plan to
customise them and then capture an image.

All goes well until I try it on a Precision 670. I am sure it has
something to do with HAL. I can load up WinPE 2 and select the image
from the distribution point. The partion sets, the files are copied
and the drivers injected. The GUI pops up and then after that stage is
finished, the computer reboots. I then see setup running (text mode)
and after about 15 seconds or so, the good old BSOD.

I was intending on having XP and the slipstreamed hotfixes roll out
onto this machine so that I can then set it up, so I have not got to
the sysprepping stage.

Anyone out there have any suggestions?

Thank you.

If it is a 0x0000007B BSOD you need to add storage device drivers to
the os/image, see this article for info...

A Geeks guide to storage drivers (Windows XP and Windows PE 2005)

Otherwise it might be the "well-known" Windows PE 2.0 Partitioning
bug, see this info for a workaround...
