Hi Everyone,

Our network currently has 100+ users that all have IE
installed on their machine. I need to make a change in
the "Advanced" tab of the "Internet Options" portion of
the Tools menu.

Is there a way in IE to make a change (specifically, to
uncheck the "Java (Sun) 2v1.4.2_03") and deploy it to all
of the users? Thanks in advance for your help!

Maybe try group policies:

- Open the Group Policy you want to modify.
- Expand User Configuration, Windows Settings.
- Right-click Internet Explorer Maintenance.
- Select Preference Mode from the context menu.
- The system will add a new Advanced branch with two groups, Corporate and
Internet Settings. Double-click one of them. The system will open a dialog
box with various settings that you can change as desired. (The Advanced
settings option under the Internet Settings is very useful.)

That's what I was looking for, unfrotunately I have
another problem. The Java 2 Runtime Environment (which is
installed seperately from IE) is what is causing the
option to appear the Tools menu, therefore the group
policy does not have it listed.

I need to keep the Java Runtime Environment installed on
the machines (as we use it for others apps), but make it
not available for applets in IE. Is there a way around
this so I don't have to go and configure every computer?
Thanks!

If you find a registry setting that governs this setting, then you can build
your own adm template using infor form
