Hi:

Under XP home edition is there anyway to deny access to the
control panel or perhaps limit access to a few items for
users with limited access accounts?

If XP home edition does not have this feature, is there an
application that can make the changes (or can a user still
circumvent this?)?

Along the same line. Is there anyway to remove the "Run"
item from the start menu?

While logged on to that user's desktop, click Start, Run and enter REGEDIT
Go to:

HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Policies\Explore
r

Create a new value called NoControlPanel in the right pane. Double click
this entry and set it to 1.

Create a new value in the right pane called NoRun, in the right pane. Set
this entry to 1 as well.

You may need to create the Policies and/or Explorer subkeys in the above
Registry path.
