What do people think of DELL then?

Hate there 0870 support line.

But there e-mail support was ok with me.

Underspec & over priced!
Problems with laptop batteries catching fire recently!
But their laptops are at least well put together

I love the build quality, components etc, never had a problem so didnt need to ring the support.

Dell are just above average on the laptop build quality scale i would say....there are far worse out there..

Dell laptops are crap, they've replaced almost every part of my laptop. All free of charge, which is good, but it is a lot of hassle.

If you are talking servers, I say you can't go wrong with a Dell.

I just don't think they're up to scratch with the portable market yet!

Dell must be doing something right, they seem to be supplying a lot of NHS Trusts as mentioned in a few IT mags or is it because they get a good deal
